Studio Policy

Voice and Piano Lessons

Lessons are offered weekly in 60/45/30 minute time slots. These slots are mutually agreed upon by both the student (and/or guardian) and Stav. Once a time slot is reserved for ongoing lessons, this becomes the regularly scheduled weekly time slot. In case of vacation and/or holiday, another make-up day may be scheduled, if agreed upon by both the student (and/or guardian) and the instructor in advance.

Student Responsibilities

  • Materials - Students are responsible for the purchase of their own books, instruments, and other materials needed for the lessons they are receiving.

  • Practicing – According to Stav’s recommendations, students are encouraged to keep an ongoing practice routine. Progress will be made most quickly by those students who maintain the recommended practicing time. Parents are also encouraged to be involved in their students’ practice. Taking time to listen to your child play their weekly songs or creating a set time for practicing in the student’s daily routine are good ways to become involved.

Payement

  • An invoice will be sent in the last week of each month, for the following month.

  • Each invoice will include only the active days lessons will occur, and exclude holidays and federal days according to agreements between student and Stav Vocal Design.

  • All payments will be made to Stav German Glaser from Stav Vocal Design alone.

  • Failure to submit payment on time, before the first lesson of each month, will result in a late fee of $5 and/ or the loss of the student’s time slot.

Cancellation policy

Regular attendance is expected and encouraged in order to gain maximum benefit from music instruction.

  • I offer the possibility of one excused cancellation per month, excluding holidays and federal days (which will be credited or canceled in advance).

  • I allow 24 hours cancellation before lessons once a month, to be rescheduled or credited at the following month’s invoice.

  • In case of any rescheduling and cancellation requests, a verbal or written acknowledgment by Stav Vocal Design has to take place for it to be valid.

  • In case of lessons being canceled by Stav, they will be rescheduled or credited, according to the student’s request.

  • If the student has an illness, which could be contagious, please contact Stav immediately via Email, phone, or text.

  • In case of suspicion for COVID-19 or the known exposure to a confirmed patient, students are asked to notify Stav as soon as possible and avoid in-person contact with her and other students. Online lessons will be offered until the student is known to be negative for COVID-19.

  • If a student wishes to pause or stop lessons, they are required to do so a month in advance.

Hebrew Through Song and Play is a group class intended for toddlers and young children with their responsible caregiver. The child's legal guardian or an adult on the child's legal guardian's behalf must attend and be present during the entire class.

Class duration may cut short according to the children's attention span and Stav's judgement.

In case of student illness or other need to be absent, no make-up classes will be offered.

Cancellation of outdoor and/or indoor classes by Stav will be made up at a different date and time that will be acceptable for most families registered.
